Bohlin Cywinski Jackson Announces Staff Promotions
We are pleased to announce the elevation of three new Senior Associates and two new Associates. These individuals have played integral leadership roles across a wide range of projects and serve as mentors for staff across our studios.
Kirsten Clemens, Senior Associate | Pittsburgh
Kirsten is a natural leader with wide-ranging skills in detail exploration, client relationships, and staff mentorship. She employs a hands-on approach to engagement, leading complex projects and dynamic teams with skill and poise. Her work developing the interior architecture of the Carnegie Mellon University, Highmark Center for Health, Wellness and Athletics, and the exterior envelope of a new classroom building for Penn State, has been instrumental to the success of each project. For over a decade, Kirsten has been a vocal advocate for mass timber education and policy initiatives, contributing to industry-wide dialogue through speaking engagements at the regional and state level. Her passion for sustainability shines through as she shares her knowledge with emerging professionals at BCJ, helping them navigate important challenges for our future.
Tina Cheng Faust, Senior Associate | Philadelphia
A thoughtful and collaborative architect, Tina brings design vision and leadership to her project work. She has been instrumental in the realization of complex higher education residence halls throughout her tenure at BCJ. These include New College House and Gutmann College House at the University of Pennsylvania – Penn’s first two purpose-built college houses – as well as current residence hall projects at the University of Colorado, Boulder and Syracuse University, where she is recognized as a trusted and highly valued client partner. A wonderful communicator in both project work and throughout the daily life of our Philadelphia studio, Tina is a calm presence and a dedicated mentor to younger staff.
Sandy Lam, Senior Associate | San Francisco
Sandy believes interior design creates spaces where human beings, with their innate appreciation for nature through all senses, can find comfort and a visual and tactile appreciation of beauty. Throughout her time at BCJ, she has helped elevate our practice’s interior design capacity and expertise through her leadership on a range of projects, from workplaces throughout the Bay Area and country to K12 and higher education environments. Working across teams and studios, Sandy encourages clear communication to successfully achieve design intentions in well-conceived projects.
Joe Savo, Associate | Wilkes-Barre
Throughout his eight years at BCJ, Joe has worked on a number of single-family residential projects in the U.S. and Canada, including the recently completed Gallatin Residence in the Hudson Valley and Key Biscayne Residence, which is anticipated to finish construction in 2026. Working across a variety of contexts and scales, Joe’s technical skills, material acumen, and passion for well-executed details shine through.
Andrew Thies, Associate | Seattle
Andrew’s design and visualization skills are backed up by his deep technical knowledge and project experience. He joined BCJ’s Seattle studio in 2016 and worked on a wide range of projects for six years, including the Expedia Seattle Campus, Anderson Canyon Residence, Sun Valley Residence, the Wilson Welcome Center at University of Puget Sound, and Bellevue Fire Stations 10 & 5. Andrew rejoined our practice this summer and is currently working on a residential estate in the Caribbean.
