Greg LaForest

Associate Principal

"BCJ was the best partner we could've asked for on TCS Hall. They heard our concerns, took the time to understand our needs, and spent countless hours iterating on the design to provide us with the best space possible. Ultimately, the space they created for us exceeded our wildest expectations, and has made our faculty, staff, and students exceptionally happy."
Nick Frollini, Deputy Director, Institute for Software Research, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University

Greg’s passion for the design and construction industry began at an early age when his parents built a new house and his father gifted him his first hammer – still a prized possession. From then on, he could be found taking scraps from that project to design and build his first of several treehouses. Greg’s deep-rooted interest in design process and building materials, paired with his professional design and construction experience, allow him to bring a valuable perspective to a range of projects, including college and university buildings, corporate headquarters, and immersive retail environments. Greg approaches each project with a thoughtful approach to site context, aesthetic and functional details, and user experience over time, resulting in lasting work that realizes client aspirations.
