Bellevue Fire Station 10 Honored with Vision Award by Seattle and Bellevue 2030 Districts

Bellevue Fire Station 10 received the People’s Choice Award at the 2026 Vision Awards, which celebrate building sustainability in the region.

"Fire Station 10 and the Sustainable Bellevue Plan are prime examples of sustainability and development complementing each other to improve our community."
Bellevue City Manager Diane Carlson

The Vision Awards, hosted by the Seattle and Bellevue 2030 Districts, recently gathered AEC professionals and the broader property owner and manager community at the Seattle Convention Center to celebrate innovation in sustainability. Bellevue Fire Station 10 won the People’s Choice Award and was recognized for its “commitment to energy efficiency, green building design and low-impact development.” The Seattle and Bellevue 2030 Districts work to bridge the private and public sectors in pursuit of ambitious sustainability goals. Their mission is to make a replicable model for reducing energy use, water consumption, and carbon emissions by 2030.

Bellevue Fire Station 10, the first new fire station in the city in 30 years, is Salmon-Safe certified and currently targeting LEED v4 Gold. The five-bay fire and EMS station now serves as the city’s primary emergency response station in the downtown area, providing live/work accommodations tailored to the needs of 14 emergency responders working 48-hour shifts. For residents interested in learning more about the project, Bellevue Fire Station 10 will host a community open house on Sunday, April 25th, as well as a facilities tour during next month’s Energy Week, organized by the Bellevue 2030 District. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the project’s high-performance energy design, EV-ready infrastructure supporting the transition to a low-carbon fleet, and resilience strategies. Find out more about the Vision Awards and upcoming events below.
