We are excited to announce that Bellevue Fire Station 10 has received a Merit Award in the 2026 AIA Washington Civic Design Awards. Winning projects “represent the finest standards in innovation, sustainability, building performance, and overall integration with the client and surrounding community.” The 2026 Civic Design Awards program included two honor awards, three merit awards, six citation awards, and three honorable mentions.

Bellevue Fire Station 10 provides a healthy environment for occupants, with live/work accommodations for up to 14 first responders working 48-hour shifts, including a kitchen and dining area, fitness room, and bunkrooms, and new offices for the Battalion Chief. LEED Gold and Salmon-Safe-certified, the project includes a highly visible rooftop solar array, electric vehicle-ready infrastructure, and energy-efficient systems throughout; modeled energy performance shows a predicted reduction from baseline of 73%. Water conservation strategies include an underground cistern that captures and provides recycled water for all vehicle washing and toilet systems in the building.
