Frick Environmental Center Showcased in Pittsburgh City Paper

Pittsburgh City Paper reporter Ashley Murray recently toured the in-progress Frick Environmental Center, (Bohlin Cywinski Jackson's first Living Building Challenge project and what will be the first municipally owned LBC project in the world), publishing an article and video with highlights from the tour.

Pittsburgh leads the world in Living Building Challenge targeted projects, and, according to Aurora Sharrard, Executive Director for the Green Building Alliance in Pittsburgh, “the really interesting opportunity we’ve had in Pittsburgh is some of our [green] buildings are also educational facilities, which is great because it helps educate Pittsburghers and Western Pennsylvanians about why this is so important. It’s the decisions we make on a daily basis, not just a single building project.”
