Caymus-Suisun Winery Wins ARCHITECT Architecture & Interiors Honor Award

The annual Architecture & Interiors Awards recognize outstanding commercial architecture and interior design from around the world.

"I appreciate the way in which the roof is the oculus and then other areas where the roof is kind of pulling away and allowing a sliver of skylight in the edges."
Architecture & Interiors Awards Juror Brooke Horan

We are excited to announce that Caymus-Suisun Winery was recognized with an Honor Award from ARCHITECT Magazine in its annual Architecture & Interiors Awards competition. The project was one of 34 winners, including 11 Honor award and 23 Merit award recipients, that represent “a diverse range of commercial architecture and interior design projects showcasing innovation and ingenuity in all its forms.” The awards jury included Ben Crawford (principal and project leader, Omniplan), John Frane (architect and design principal, HGA), and Brooke Horan (associate vice president and interior design director, HDR).

Caymus-Suisun Winery establishes a new hospitality experience in an emerging California wine region, fostering a sense of discovery and connecting guests to the surrounding landscape. A glass-enclosed tasting pavilion opens to let the Suisun Valley’s hallmark breezes flow through, while offering flexibility for our clients to host a range of gatherings. The project team included interior design by The Bureau and Geldert Studios, Cello & Maudru, Foulk Civil Engineering, Eckersley O’Callaghan, Spearhead, Blue Forest Engineering, EJA Lighting Design, and Atium Engineering, with photography by Matthew Millman.
