AIA Northeastern Pennsylvania Honors 2 Bohlin Cywinski Jackson Projects

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Institute of Architects honored two Bohlin Cywinski Jackson projects at the 2015 Design Awards Program and Banquet.

Tusen Takk, a residence located along the northeastern shore of Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula, recieved an Honor Award. The jury described the residence as, “Simply a beautiful project…the home is knitted into its natural setting with great skill. The design strikes an important balance of being thoroughly designed yet visually quiet in deference to the abundant surrounding beauty.”

Sawyer Library at Williams College received the program’s highest honor, the Award of Excellence. The jury remarked, “Clearly the most sophisticated project in the group with an inspiring approach for connecting the past with the future. The relationships between the architecture of the existing and the addition have been resolved with great expertise.”
