Peter Bohlin Elected to the National Academy

Founding Principal Peter Bohlin was one of 12 individuals inducted to the National Academy at a ceremony held in New York City on October 28.

Elected annually by members of the Academy, selected artists and architects are recognized for their contribution to American art and architecture.

When hearing of this news, Square CEO Jack Dorsey said, “Architects should make spaces where people can be themselves—to gather, to trade stories, and to create. Peter and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson have been responsible for some of the best manifestations of that in the world, and we’ve been fortunate to feel it every day at Square.”

According to Bruce Fowle, National Academy President, “The inductees’ exceptional range of work speaks to the very core of what the National Academy has always represented: collecting and sharing work by the preeminent artists and architects working in this country today.”
