New Apple Store Opens in Aix-en-Provence
2As Apple’s first ground-up, freestanding store in Europe, it continues many modern themes of recent stores designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. The transparency and openness of the minimal one-room store allows for seamless transition into the large, open plaza, while also incorporating stone and exterior elements that blend with the historic nature of the city.
The Apple Store, Aix-en-Provence follows the openings of pavilion-concept stores in Palo Alto, Portland, and Omotesando.
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has designed many of Apple’s high-profile stores over the past 12 years, including stores in New York, London, Berlin, Shanghai, Paris, Hong Kong and Barcelona.
