We are excited to share that Auteur Russian River, a new tasting room for the renowned Auteur Wines, is a San Francisco Design Week (SFDW) Award recipient. SFDW is the premier gathering of the world’s most active design community. The 2026 theme, “MULTITUDES”–celebrating the power of plurality–was met by award winners from leading design firms, in-house teams, and creative individuals. The Design Awards celebrate and recognize exemplary work in all fields of design, including architecture, interior design, industrial design, communication design, landscape architecture, and user experience design.

Overlooking forested slopes and the Russian River, the 3,000 square-foot tasting room offers an immersive experience where guests can engage with the surrounding landscape. A limestone-clad entry wall creates a visual threshold on arrival while organizing support spaces. Passing through the entry, the tasting room interior reveals panoramic views from every vantage point. The design balances an intimate scale with the capacity to host large groups and varied events throughout the year. Furniture is easily rearranged to accommodate different party sizes, while a private tasting room responds to our client’s desire for a dedicated space to hold curated experiences.

Twenty-three winning projects and ten honorable mentions were selected by a jury comprised of distinguished professionals, who reviewed submissions from an exceptionally competitive pool of entries submitted from the United States, Europe, and Asia. Learn more about 2026 award recipients below.
