Forbes writer Jeanette Hurt spoke with Auteur owners and founders Kenneth and Laura Juhasz about the growth of the winery and its first estate property, opening this week.
"With a 50-foot glass wall framing expansive vineyard views and large doors that open to the terrace, the boundary between indoors and outdoors practically disappears. It’s warm, welcoming, and hard to leave."
Auteur Wines will officially open its new Russian River estate this Friday, April 11. Set on eight acres just outside Healdsburg, CA, the 3,000 square-foot building was designed to immerse guests within an extraordinary landscape of vineyards and forest. Speaking with Forbes writer Jeannette Hurt, Laura Juhasz noted that the estate winery “is designed to feel deeply connected to the terrain.” Floor-to-ceiling windows in the main tasting area frame panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and hillsides, while a sheltered terrace and courtyard provide a natural extension of the tasting experience, offering varied outdoor seating areas for guests to savor Auteur wines.
The new Russian River Estate is the second location for Auteur Wines, which will continue to operate its tasting room in the heart of the town of Sonoma. As Juhasz noted, “Over the years, we felt the pull to root ourselves deeper into Sonoma County, to find a countryside estate within the vineyards we source from.” Visit Auteur’s website to learn more and book a tasting, and read the Forbes article below.
