Jon Jackson, FAIA to present at the SCUP 45th Annual, International Conference in Minneapolis

July 13, 2010

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Jon Jackson will speak at a panel discussion for the Society of College and University Planners Annual International conference on grappling with the economic reality of declining resources for higher education institutions. The panel, "Stalled, Squeezed, Shelved: Finding Project Momentum in a Wobbly World," will also include Pamela Delphenich, Director, Campus Planning & Design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, David Frassinelli, Assistant Vice President & Director of Facilities at Fairfield University, and Francis Hayes, Vice President, Shawmut Design and Construction. The presentation will raise three scenarios that address pressing topics: declining staff, reduction in pre-established project budgets, and indefinite suspension of projects. The panelists will use a role-playing exercise with audience members to help participants find potential solutions as each case study is evaluated.
