University of Puget Sound Center for Health Sciences Groundbreaking Ceremony

This event will serve as the ceremonial groundbreaking and start of construction for the new 44,000 square foot Center for Health Sciences, the centerpiece of the university's 20 year master plan for for campus development. a building designed to enhance the intersection of knowledge between research and clinical work and foster academic collaboration in the fields of health and behavioral sciences. Designed to meet LEED Silver standards, the building will house five academic departments: exercise science, neuroscience, occupational therapy, physical therapy and psychology. The university's occupational and physical therapy clinics, that provide free health care services to more than 300 patients annually, will operate from the center.
