March 8, 2007, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on Architecture for Education presented Winchester Thurston North Hills Campus with a Citation Award for Educational Facilities Design. Award winners were announced at a special general session of the 2007 School Building Expo in West Palm Beach, Florida, on March 6-8th.

Designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, Winchester Thurston North Hills Campus was selected as one of only 14 educational facilities from nearly 100 nationally submitted projects and is one of only two projects recognized in the state of Pennsylvania. The facility will be featured in presentations at multiple events including the 2007 AIA National Convention in San Antonio.

The Educational Facilities Design Awards Program is held annually to identify, honor, and disseminate projects and ideas that exhibit innovation and excellence in the design of learning environments.
